60mm Kinspan Kooltherm K5 external wallboard is a premium performance lower lambda insulation used on the exterior side of external walls that provides a thermal conductivity of just 0.020 W/mK. Making it far superior to standard expanded polystyrene (EPS) which is typically on external walls. K5 is ideally suited to be used behind traditional and lightweight polymer modified renders. K5 insulation boards should be installed to the substrate using appropriate mechincal fixings and a bedding compound/adhesive. (LINK) K5 is faced on both sides with a glass tissue facing, autohesively bonded to the insulation core during manufacture. The core of K5 is a premium performance rigid thermoset phenolic insulation manufactured with a blowing agent that has zero ODP and low GWP.
