Mapei Mapecoat Act 021 Paint 4kg
Semi-gloss enamel for interior walls, suitable for use in environments with food and beverage.
Where to Use
- Painting of new, old and already painted internal surfaces with specific hygiene requirements; Mapecoat ACT 021 complies with the requirements of the HACCP protocol for painted walls and ceilings in areas where food is present such as the food industry and public and private environments serving food and drinks (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, schools and company canteens, etc.).
- Protecting and decorating cementitious, lime and gypsum-based substrates that require a high level of hygiene and prolonged resistance to cleaning operations.
Some application examples
- Painting of internal walls and new, well-cured or old cementitious, lime and gypsum-based plaster and skimming mortars, as long as they are sound, well-bonded and have no crumbling areas.
- Painting of rooms and areas in shops and the food industry and in public and private environments serving food and drinks.
- Painting of rooms that need to guarantee a high level of hygiene combined with long-term durability and ease of cleaning.
Technical Characteristics
- Mapecoat ACT 021 is an acrylic-based internal wall enamel with a high polymer content. It is specifically designed to coat surfaces to provide long-term protection which are resistant to cleaning cycles and easy to clean, characteristics proven by passing the most stringent tests from UNI 11021 regarding suitability for use in areas with food and drinks.
- Mapecoat ACT 021 has very low levels of dirt pick-up and odour release compliant with the base requirements of products for use in areas with food and drinks.
- Mapecoat ACT 021 also contains BioBlock® technology which actively blocks the formation and spread of mould, making it particularly suitable for protecting areas difficult to reach during normal cleaning operations, such as ceilings.
- Mapecoat ACT 021 is resistant to changes in temperature and is suitable for use in refrigeration units.
- When applied on internal surfaces, Mapecoat ACT 021 bonds perfectly to all types of masonry, render, smoothing and levelling compounds and old paintwork, as long as they are well bonded and sound.
- Mapecoat ACT 021 protects substrates and gives surfaces an attractive effect with a smooth, compact, satin finish.
Consumption
- Consumption is heavily influenced by the absorption and roughness of the substrate, the colour of the paint and the application method used. Under normal conditions consumption is generally 0.2-0.3 kg/m² (for two coats of product).
