Installation Guidance

1. Lay Acoustilay MDF 6mm over the Acoustilay underlay. Use Acoustilay Acrylic Adhesive to bond the MDF to the underlay.
2. Join the tongue-and-groove edges using a PVA adhesive, ensuring all joints are staggered at least 50mm away from any Acoustilay underlay joints.
3. Leave a 5–10mm isolation gap between the MDF and walls to prevent flanking sound transmission. Fill this gap with Acoustic Sealant (AC50).
4. Once installed, the MDF provides a perfect foundation for your chosen floor finish.
